Language Services
The NSW government provides Translation and Interpretation Services in over 200 languages and dialects, with specialist and highly trained legal and community interpreters.
The NSW Settlement Strategy was also implemented by the NSW Government from February 2023 until June 2025. The Action Plan will complement and strengthen programs and initiatives underway in NSW that are led by the Commonwealth Government and non-government sector
English Language Courses
The Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) is a free service to help eligible migrants and humanitarian entrants with low English levels to improve their English language skills and settle into Australia. Learning English will help you to participate more fully in Australian life. You will learn new skills to help you work and make friends in Australia. When you are in an AMEP class, free childcare is available for children under school age.
