• MyGov is an Australian government  platform where all Australians can access key government services such as the Australian Tax Office, Centrelink and Medicare, among others.

• It is a simple and secure way to access these services in one place.  myGov is run by Services Australia. It also has a secure Inbox where you can get messages from some of your linked services.

Medicare

• Medicare is Australia’s universal health insurance scheme. It guarantees all Australians  access to a wide range of health and hospital services at low or no cost. 

• Medicare subsidises the costs of hospital services, medical services, tests, imaging, and scans.

What is Private Health Insurance?

In Australia, private health insurance allows you to be treated in hospital as a private patient. It can also help pay for health care costs that Medicare doesn’t cover. The cost and what it covers depend on your policy.
